Starting Point

I joined Fingerprint in 2021 as the first designer. The company already had a working product UI and a brand identity in place, but neither was backed by a defined visual system, and both needed a real foundation to grow on as the team expanded.

For roughly the first year I worked solo, which meant building on top of what existed instead of starting from a blank slate. Once the team grew, my work moved from brand and marketing into product, which shaped the two phases of my time there.

Brand Identity & Marketing

I defined the color palette and created visual guides for marketing materials. Those guides became the base for how the brand looks today, and they grew into fuller web and product design guidelines that I developed together with the team.

Alongside the guidelines I redesigned the main website page and its landing pages, and designed landing pages for special projects, so the identity was applied consistently across every marketing touchpoint.

Product Design

When the team outgrew a solo setup I moved into the product team, where I worked on features that still define the product. The first was a redesign of the information architecture, giving the product a clearer structure to grow into.

I also redesigned onboarding as a growth funnel and reworked plan management, aimed at making the path from sign-up to value and the handling of plans easier to follow.

Impact

The visual and brand base I established is what Fingerprint's brand still looks like today. Moving from brand work into product let me carry the same principles into the interface, so marketing and product read as one system.

The information architecture, onboarding and plan management work shipped as product features that still define the product. I chose to move into the product team once it grew, taking on product-level features instead of staying only in brand.
