Cosmic Jet is a web platform at the intersection of utility NFTs and genuine gemstones, where each gemstone is paired with an NFT that carries its ownership rights and is smart-contract safe. Its tagline is Redefining Elegance with Utility NFTs and Authentic Gemstones.

In 2023, at Embacy, our team took on the web design and art direction. The challenge was a complex website that makes an unusual product pairing legible and desirable, with a seamless experience across devices. My role was web design.

The home page introduces the platform, previews the inaugural collection and highlights how the allure of gemstones meets the security of utility NFTs.

Each of the 10 gemstones, curated by top gemstone scientists, gets its own page from a gem template, paired with an NFT image that represents it in virtual reality. Separate page types let the concept and each gem be explained on their own terms.

Edges of Reality is the first collection to combine real gemstones with NFTs. Its page tells the story behind the collection as a visual chronicle of gemstone formation.

Each gem is the product of countless accidental factors deep in the Earth, such as rock pressure, external temperatures and chemical fusion. Framing the collection as a narrative rather than a plain product listing gave it depth.
